Hi! I have been using Local Business Directory for a couple of months now and I can say that this platform has been a real revelation for me. When I moved to Vancouver, I had a hard time finding small local cafes, shops and services that were not on big platforms like Google or Yelp. I don’t always want to go to big chains or spend time searching through a lot of reviews, where it is sometimes difficult to understand what is really worth paying attention to. Unlike the same Yelp, where chains and larger companies are often imposed, VILocal is focused exclusively on local businesses, which is really important to me as a resident of the island. First of all, I like that on VILocal you can find only those businesses that actually work in Vancouver. For example, I discovered several great craft shops and local farmers whose goods are not so easy to find on other platforms. The platform provides quite detailed information: not just an address or a phone number, but a description of services, prices, promotions and even a menu in some cases. I personally find it very convenient that it contains only those businesses that are of interest to people living on the island. I even found local tours and events that are organized by locals, not tour companies. This adds a sense of community and helps to discover new places that you simply did not know about.
